Since moving to Albuquerque, I associate Sandhill cranes with the winter holidays as much as I do sparkly lights and candles in paper bags filled with sand. They are all on my list of favorite things.

This house has been in the Sanchez family for several generations, and their christmas displays grow every year, both inside and out, as does their generosity as they invite all who pass by in for a bit of Christmas cheer.
